Gov. Ed Panlilio For President? Think Again!

The Panlilio for President team has the tendecy to revive the Spanish colonial rule. It was the time when public governance was ruled by the friars or Padre Damaso. It was when political injustices was untocuhable. Public office was exclusive for the rich or for Kapitan Tiago and the citizenship (right to participate in governance)was exclusive for illustrados or Ibarra.

It was also the time when a different form of worship aside from the Catholic way is prohibited in Spanish soil anbd colonies.

Gov. Panlilio does not want to leave his priesthood but want to be President of the Philippines. Obviously, he would function (once elected) as president and priest at the same time. How could he reconcile his practice and the Constitutional proviso of separation of the state and church?

One of his people, implied in our discussion that a poor candidate is not welcome in their group to seek elective public office.

A muslim candidate to represent the dominant minority group in the south is also discriminated in favor of a christian-convert muslim potential candidate.

A PhD degree holder is ginven with much emphasis (though I know Joel Rocamora but educational attainment should not be given emphasis but the heart of serving).

This team worries about who amongst in the localities from provincial to municipalities and cities to barangays they should field. This shows that they ignore or they are not aware of the Constitution and Local Government Code and Election policy. Barangay should be non partisan.

How could this team serve within the concept and legal framework for just society which starts with the equal opportunity to hold public office and the right of the minority to legislate for themselves in domestic and international affairs through representation?

The existing problems require positive action by prescribing amendments and legislative policy and strong will of the executives to ensure political justice.

How could this team issue prescriptitons if they could not or not capable of describing and diagnose the National situation correctly?

How they could prescribe if they do not have consistent ideopraxis?

I asked one of my supposed 10 questions to evaluate to the hearts of these aspirants. Unfortunately they failed and could not even get the chance to know my second question.

Maria Clara longs for freedom and justice eversince she was named Philippines.

How long will Maria Clara remain a slave to her father's unjust authority? When will she get the chance to beloved by an "indio" with a simple and cause driven heart?

She is tired of illustrados and Kapitan Tiago's lies whose motivation is self ambition and interests.

Can Gov. Panlilio deliver change to Philippine society for good? or he is another Padre Damaso who will perpetuate and reinforce elitism and injustices?

Think again, Maria Clara...
