rania 2011: Where Are We Heading?

Dear Comrades:


Since 1997 ( not to mention our involvement in our struggles prior to 1997)to this new year, 2011, it seems that we have traveled so far. Burned energy, eyebrows, and calories made the feeling heavier and ebbing strength, a burden.


But the truth is that we have not made our first step yet.


Where are we heading?


We are heading to our Vision of "a community working for children holistic development free from hunger, violence and cruelty, diseases and worries about basic needs and rights."


Framework and perspective are necessary for us to reach such destination.


To start the new year right, plans and activities are calendared.


Our first step will lead to scouting, screening and qualifying of beneficiaries--homeless children and families. Our objective is to care for 50 children and household beneficiaries from different areas to home in one location. This will be our first community.


Our first step is consist of the following activities:


Curriculum Development

Responsible: rannie,Ma'am Kharisma, Sir Andrew,
Ma'am Menggay ,Sir Ariem, etc.
Expected Output: Early April 2011

Educ Materials Development Production and Acquisition
responsible teachers and volunteers
Expected Output: June 2011


Training and hiring
of Teachers, volunteers
and Teacher-Assistant
Responsible: HR
Expected Output: December 2011

Land Grants And Acquisition
Atty. Randolph Uy
Expected Output: April 2011


Building Plans and estimates, Construction
Expected Output: May 2012



Our critical needs are as follow:


 Registered Social Worker (RSW) , trained in child and placement services, from the “streets” and conflict to institutional (rania Child Development Center)/community-based foster care and to our family-beneficiary homes for adoption and or foster care; and other persons (homeless families)as well.



 Child Psychologists for Curriculum Development and Child Care Programs and Guidance Counseling.


Philippines Government Requirements:



 SEC Registration for Private Foundation



 DSWD Registration and Licensure.



 Tax Registration for the purpose of Tax Exemption Application under the provision of Section 30 of the Tax Code, as implemented by Revenue Regulations (RR) No. 13-98.



 Local Government Permits
